Located in one of Perth’s older streets with several colonial designs on neighbouring blocks, the owners of this home wanted to use modern materials in the home with a simple facade that fits beautifully in the heritage street. The design style chosen was a Hamptons’ look, both inside and out.
The simple colour palette of the exterior (only 3 colours) still manages to provide a sense of complexity and detail in the finish without the expense of excessive detailing. Individual design is important to most people so they feel they have a design that is truly a one off and that reflects their needs and personality.
Luxury finish also remains a many varied thing depending on the client’s required style and colour choices. RiverStone’s Interior Designer worked closely with the owners to finish the interiors in the Hampton’s style.
Capturing all the elements of iconic Hamptons style on a sensible budget, we worked with the owners to piece together the look they loved. Armed with a portfolio of ideas, inspiration and photographs, they shared their Hamptons-inspired vision with us, from the elegant dove grey and white facade with its white painted timber joinery and traditional mouldings, to the timber shutters, arched windows, custom made bookcases, skirting boards, architraves, timber panelling and bespoke kitchen.
The jarrah staircase treads and handrail were stained ebony to match the stained jarrah floorboards. Creating a strong contrast, the balustrade and stair risers were kept a crisp white in keeping with the Hamptons style.
