So you've decided to build a new home. In the early planning stages, it can become difficult to know where to start. Once you've chosen your dream location the next step is to select a design that works for you.

Home elevation is an essential part of your home design, while we all want a home that stands out, choosing the right elevation for your home can be a complicated process. You will need to consider colours, materials and balancing the overall shape of your home. Selecting a suitable front elevation has many benefits, it will allow you to show off individual features of your home such as entry doors, window styles and your front porch. Not only that, but it can also dramatically enhance the street appeal and increase your property value.

Here are some of our favourite home elevation designs by Inspired Homes.

This Hamptons home inspired elevation just screen coziness. The Grayson Display Home is cladded with feature stone, James Hardie Weatherboard Sycon Linea, contrasting renders and boxed eaves that lend to its classic look with protecting the integrity of its structure against weather damage. At the same time, the round gable vent and awning windows promote ventilation through the house.

San Marino Residence

The San Marino Residence has a sleek exterior that exudes a luxurious and contemporary feel. Featuring an ultra modern colorbond skillion roof adding character to the home. Walls have contrasting renders and a central feature pier measuring approx 7.4m in height. While the cladding gives an extra element to this eye-catching and durable exterior.

Ranelagh Residence

If you love the modern look, Ranelagh Residence provides a modern, yet timeless feel thanks to the contrast renders in earthy tones. With a concealed trimdeck roof that manages rainwater effectively, and a timber cladding feature wall giving durability to the structure of the home. Custom screen walls have been installed to the balcony to add a stylish and functional use providing extra privacy.

Perfect for urban dwellers who thrive in a contemporary setting, this Jolimont Project is the ultimate modern design. The design focuses on reverse living in this elevation to maximise surrounding views, and the stacker doors to the balcony make it easily accessible. Raked ceilings have been added to provide a sense of openness and volume. To top it all off washed aggregate paths, a built-in letterbox and an ultra-modern skillion roof complete the look.

The Floreat has a minimalistic style, but that doesn't in any way distract from its unique aesthetic appeal. The repetition and asymmetry of windows create interest while the contrasting render of the Umbra feature is an immediate focal point. A concealed Trimdeck roof has also been used keeping in the tone of a minimalistic style.

This contemporary inspired elevation uses rich texture, including wood look tiles for a polished and luxurious finish. The contrasting render and natural timber used here are subtle, yet continue to add to its exotic charm.
