Visioneer Builders have been awarded the illustrious Home of the Year Award at the 2018 HIA CSR Victorian Housing and Kitchen & Bathroom Awards, for their phenomenal custom-built project in Melbourne's inner suburbs.

New Homes Guide was there to applaud the winners at Crown Towers Melbourne, alongside industry leaders and VIPs from across the country.

The HIA judges described the home as a "fine example of modern architecture" and featuring "near flawless craftsmanship, ensuring unparalleled quality, durability and longevity."

The three-levels family home is situated on a suspended slab to maximise views of the bay and CBD. Standout features include a translucent New York marble front door and an acrylic-edged rooftop pool. The home has an emphasis on sustainability, with features including a 4000-litre rainwater tank, 30 solar panels and a design that optimises crossflow ventilation.

Michael Schuurmans, Director from Visioneer, said that the whole team is thrilled and honoured to be recognised with this Home of the Year Award.

The home takes advantage of the beautiful views and has superb design and attention to detail in every aspect. It is a credit to all of our team who worked incredibly hard to build this home of exceptional quality.

- Michael Schuurmans, Director at Visioneer.

"Visioneer Builders have gone above and beyond for their client in delivering this home," said Fiona Nield, HIA Victorian Regional Executive Director. "It truly is stunning, and a very worthy recipient of the Home of the Year Award."

It is the third time in history that Visioneer Builders have taken home this prestigious award, also receiving Apartment of the Year for a separate project on the night.

The Display Home of the Year title at the 2018 awards went to Comdain Homes, for their gorgeous Belle Vue display home. Shielcon Group took home Renovation/Addition Project of the Year for their extensive Mornington Peninsula project.

Outstanding kitchen and bathroom projects were also recognised - H&H Cabinets received Kitchen of the Year for their unique suburban kitchen, and Better Bathrooms & Kitchens was awarded Bathroom of the Year for their luxurious heritage-style renovation.

All the winners and finalists at this year's Victoria Housing Awards show once again that HIA members deliver work of exceptional quality. I applaud all of our members for their skill and dedication to building in Victoria.

- Fiona Nield, HIA Victorian Regional Executive Director.

The HIA Awards represent the height of achievement in the Australian residential building industry, created to acknowledge the exceptional projects, designers and builders in the country.
