This September, Shelford Quality Homes officially opened their new office and selection studio in the heart of Rockingham, celebrating alongside 200+ guests and delegates including Premier Mark McGowan.
One month on, we chat with Shelford Quality Homes to discuss this exciting milestone and their new state-of-the-art facilities.
The striking new premises, designed and constructed by Shelford iteself, boasts innovative office spaces, an inspirational display area for clients, as well as workshops & trade services.

Shelford envisioned a space where visitors and clients can sit and chat, view the latest home design trends, and make their dream home a reality.
The building combines the residential and commercial operations and gives visitors the space to touch, feel and experience design elements that go into Shelford’s quality builds, without being overwhelmed with selections.
The open plan building is the ultimate advertisement for the company’s architectural skills, and leaves a show stopping impression from the street. Cleverly designed with a modern elevation and the ability to evolve with changing trends, the new HQ is a true reflection of the design skills and workmanship that Shelford Homes Quality encompass.
“The premises was meticulously designed with a long-term vision for building with confidence and quality in mind, like all Shelford Quality Home’s projects. The building speaks for itself through its intricate nature and the difficulties of this type of construction.”
Expert attention has been paid to maximise the internal and external lighting to ensure the building makes a lasting impression. The three-storey atrium is sure to wow visitors, with a central stairway that wraps around the lift and a bright lobby.
Complete with premium finishes, the building gives clients confidence in Shelford’s ability to achieve a high standard finish.
The brand new facilities also feature a multi-use boardroom, and a training and entertaining balcony complete with panoramic views over Lake Cooloongup.
Shelford staff are also feeling the benefits of the expansive upgrade, with a large staff kitchen and lunch room area, complete with an outdoor alfresco area, barbecue and pizza oven.
These new facilities are set to reinvigorate the builder’s workforce with an energy that would be passed onto the client. “I think it will make a difference, not only for our staff, but also for our clients and their experience” John Mijacika said.
Shelford Homes currently employ over 90 permanent employees, and over 300 subcontractors and suppliers, many of whom are locals - a far cry from their humble yet ambitious beginnings in 1991 with just a single employee.
During their 27 years, they have experienced substantial growth and solidified their prominent position within the WA construction industry.
